Croatia’s capital

Why go
Zagreb gives you a different side of Croatia from the coast. The center is walkable, trams are useful, and the city has strong bus connections to the coast and inland sights.
Without a car
Zagreb is one of the easiest Croatian cities to reach without a car. Long-distance buses connect it with many cities and tourist areas. The city also has rail links and an international airport.
For buses, check Arriva Croatia, FlixBus or compare routes on GetByBus. Inside Zagreb, trams and buses cover most areas a visitor needs.
If Zagreb is your first stop, it is easy to continue by bus toward Plitvice Lakes or the Adriatic coast.
